Systems Theory

See the full course: https://systemsacademy.io/courses/sys... Twitter: http://bit.ly/2HobMld In this video we will be giving an overview to what we call the systems paradigm, which is the fundamental set of concepts that support systems theory and constitute this particular way of looking at the world. In order to try and create a clear understanding, we will do this by contrasting it will the more traditional paradigm taken within modern science.

Decentralizing Organizations [Full Version]

This video is an overview of our research paper on Decentralizing Organizations. It covers the evolution of the enterprise in the networked economy and how we have moved from hierarchies towards networked organizations. Read the full paper here: http://www.trixta.com/research

Fractals in Pictures

See the full course: https://systemsacademy.io/courses/non... Twitter: http://bit.ly/2HobMld Fractals structures exhibit what is called self-similarity where patterns are repeated across different scales, meaning as we zoom in we will stay finding the same pattern repeated giving them an infinite variety that is created by very simple rules involving iteration functions. In this short video we explore the extraordinary world of fractal through pictures.

Dataism

Follow along with the eBook: https://systemsacademy.io/complex-ana... Take the full course: https://systemsacademy.io/courses/com... Dataism may be recognized as the general underlying philosophy of big data which holds data as a primary source of truth in its own right. The basic premise is that because Big Data can capture a whole domain, providing a complete high-resolution dataset, there is no need for prior theory, models or hypotheses, as through the application of data analytics the data can speak for themselves free of human bias or framing. Meaning transcends context or domain-specific knowledge and is thus neutral being able to be interpreted by anyone. https://twitter.com/systemsacademy

Emergence

See the full course: https://systemsacademy.io/courses/eme... Twitter: http://bit.ly/2HobMld In this video we will be giving a very high-level overview to the concept of emergence and the different aspects to it that we will be covering in more detail in future modules in the course. The dictionary definition of the term emergence comes from the latin word meaning ‘bring to light’. In this sense it means the process of becoming visible or coming into existence. In its most abstract and metaphorical sense emergence describes the universal process of creation that is both a very fundamental and pervasive feature to our world as it plays out in all types of systems.
