WASHINGTON, DC – Today, at a virtual event co-hosted with the National Academy of Public Administration, Results for America will release the 2020 Invest in What Works Federal Standard of Excellence, an annual review of how federal agencies are using evidence and data to get better results for young people, their families, and communities.

The following Federal Standard of Excellence Agency Snapshots provide a glimpse into nine agencies’ evidence-based policy agenda. The Snapshots highlight key accomplishments and areas for future progress. Many of these practices and efforts described below are exemplary models that all federal agencies and departments can follow as they seek to improve results for communities, families, and children across the country.

This dashboard presents program and policy changes states have made to their Unemployment Insurance (UI) programs in response to the current COVID-19 pandemic and economic situation. It includes information for all 50 states and the District of Columbia, allowing for easy comparison of program changes across states and when those changes were made.

PD&R’s research program is essential to helping the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development achieve its mission to create strong, sustainable, inclusive communities and quality, affordable homes for all. The Research Roadmap is HUD’s research plan and supports evidence-based policymaking for the Department. The Roadmap looks ahead; it is a multiyear agenda that ensures a robust pipeline of research for years to come, not only through research opportunities we highlight for Congress in our annual budget request, but also through efforts HUD launches in-house and with other external partners in the research community.
