Using Diigo on this site

Page history last edited by Brian G. Dowling 2 years, 4 months ago

This wiki is made to work with the Diigo Online bookmarking system.  Diigo was chosen because it offers a number of different means of collaboration.  The most important feature of this wiki are the links found on its wiki pages to other online resources. Each website featured in one of this wiki's pages is the same as that found in the related blog. Each web link can be connected to other online resources in three different ways.

First are Diigo Tags which are found below the explanation for each web link. Clicking on a specific tag will take you to the Diigo New Community Paradigms Group page and provide you with other links categorized under that tag.

Each website listed under the Diigo Community Paradigms group comes with the ability to create annotated links making it possible to provide additional information for other New Community Paradigm Diigo group users, more on the group further down.

Once again you have choices.  You can simply read the annotated websites to get information or you can join the Diigo New Community Paradigms group and contribute. Instructions are below.

Here is an example of an online website from the Healthy Cities wiki page found under Livable Communities wiki page. This example is a video done to explain the Healthy City California program.  The first is the basic garden variety link.  The second is the Annotated Diigo Link. One feature available on the Annotated Diigo Link is the Diigo stickynotes which allows group members to leave notes about the particular web page and provide links to sources of additional information.

Here is a more detailed overall explanation of how Diigo works.

You can choose to join the Diigo Community Paradigms group which means first signing up with Diigo, but you don't have to, this wiki will still work but in a more limited fashion.

is the place to sign up.
