Systems Thinking Certification

Page history last edited by Brian G. Dowling 10 months, 2 weeks ago

The Systems Thinking Certification Program was designed to teach participants how to solve problems so they stay solved and not create new ones in the process. At the same time, it endeavored to avoid the Pogo problems ("We have met the enemy and he is us!") that have afflicted the field of Systems Thinking and general attempts at collaborative decision making over the last seven decades. Taking a lesson from Ken Blanchard's, "The One Minute Manager", the course follows the principle that, "While almost everyone likes to buy, almost no one likes to be sold." The primary platform for the course is Kumu, a cloud-based relationship mapping and visualization system. (Manifesto pdf). The elements of the program being used were and are free.

The program was developed by Gene Bellinger, a passionate Systems Thinker, coauthor of Beyond Connecting the Dots: Modeling for Meaningful Results.
